Medusa Wine

This was my first brief of my second year - the task was to create 4 different brands using one Greek name. I chose Medusa, and decided to create a wine brand. I had noticed that when you go to the supermarket, all the wine bottles look very similar in design. When I choose a wine, the lable plays an important part as you never really know what it is going to taste like unless you've had it before, so I usually pick one with a design I like.

I decided to create a unique range of wines which would really stand out from the rest. I focused on the myth of Medusa, and how her gaze turned people into stone. To represent this I used a powerful looking eye as the logo, and designed the bottles so that they look as though they have been turned to stone. Different types of stone represent different flavours and types of wine.
